Emmett’s background is in healthcare M&A, programme management and performance improvement. He has worked in more 40 countries and served on the boards of several PE-invested companies.

His former roles include First Vice President of Medsi Group, Russia's largest healthcare company, leading a turnaround of the business during a crisis period, following acquisition of state facilities by the company.

Prior to this, Emmett was Global Health Sector Leader at the International Finance Corporation (the private arm of the World Bank Group) where he played a leading role in determining global investment strategy and in project appraisal.  During this period IFC grew to become the world’s largest investor in emerging markets health care and achieved record investment, and social, returns for the sector.

Emmett’s early career was in “Big 4” consulting, when he led the Performance Improvement division of the UK’s largest healthcare practice. In this role he managed the turnaround of healthcare organizations in the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors.  Clients included the world’s largest healthcare companies and financial institutions.

He holds a Masters Degree in Management Sciences and is a Fellow of the UK Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
